Ellenson's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old American center Henry Ellenson (208-C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Wonju DB and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 47.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Mobis Phoebus (#8, 17-34) 90-81. Wonju DB maintains the 4th position in South Korean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Wonju DB will need more victories to improve their 31-21 record. In the team's last game Ellenson had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Wonju DB's top player in his first season with the team. Marquette University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ellenson is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.4ppg), rebounds (6th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 52.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Assem Marei (206-C-1992) of top-ranked Changwon LG Sakers. He is Egyptian center in his first season at LG Sakers. In the last game Marei recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Sakers lost that game 74-84 to slightly lower-ranked Anyang (#2, 33-18). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. LG Sakers still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 35-16 record. Marei is a newcomer at LG Sakers and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Shawn Long (208-F-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) of Busan KCC Egis (#6). Long scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Egis, leading his team to a 87-80 win against the lower-ranked Daegu (#9, 15-36). KCC Egis needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 26 victories and 25 lost games. Long has a great season in South Korea. After 51 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 12.6rpg (2nd best).
